WE’RE BACK IN THE SANCTUARY FOR WORSHIP! JOIN US. Masks required.
Unitarians began including hymns regularly in worship in the mid 1800’s (mostly psalms set to music back then). In the 200 plus years that have followed, our hymnody has reflected an evolving and broadening theology, our merger with the Universalists, a deeper dive into social justice, and a wide variety of musical styles and themes. This morning, we’ll explore why and what we sing! How can we keep from singing? (and by the way, we’ll be singing more hymns that usual!) Rev. Robin Landerman Zucker preaching, with reflections on leading the choir and on singing from Jason Drahos and Pia Driessen-Knittle. Piano music from Austin Shaw.
K-5th RE will be learning about Dia De Los Muertos through an animated student film. Kids can participate on Zoom or in-person at 10am.
Our remote MS/HS class for this Sunday will be on the theme of immigration and border control. We will watch a Simpsons episode titled Coming to Homerica (Season 20, Episode 21). Please join us at 11:30am on Zoom.
Come to the Post-Service Gatherings at 11 am to connect, share joys and sorrows, and reflect on the service. These will be held in person, in the backyard of the church so that we may remove our masks.
