“Examine How UUA’s Principles Have Been Revised in Article II” with Lynda L. Dorweiler

ALL ARE WELCOME! You BELONG at Beacon – Spiritually open and intentionally inclusive since 1958.

In 2020, the Unitarian Universalist Association Board proposed a review of Unitarian Universalist Principles as written in Article II of the Bylaws. The purpose was to develop a document that was relevant and a powerful force for spiritual and moral growth, healing, and justice. The amended document was released in November 2023 and will be brought to General Assembly in June 2024 for a vote to approve. If this document is passed at General Assembly, Beacon will have the option to accept the revisions. Lynda L. Dorweiler will present the proposed changes and rationale for the changes. Musical accompaniment during the service will be provided by Pete Garcia.
