What is a Calling? A life-giving force. An undeniable pull to follow a particular path. Movement toward greater purpose in life. One answer to “Why am I here?” Likely all of these in some form, and something that is made real in your own way and time. Perhaps the Call arrives early in life and is fulfilled, or it’s still taking shape and anticipated, at any age. One view is that a Call is more than a “passion” and that it forms at the intersection of Affinity, Ability, Access, and Awareness of human need. Worship Associate Cassie Dakan will deliver the Sunday message, inspired by singer/songwriter/musician Mary Chapin Carpenter and her album The Calling. Pete Garcia will provide piano accompaniment and the choir will sing.
