“While My Sitar Gently Weeps” with Johnny Marcus and Rob Wallace

ALL ARE WELCOME! You BELONG at Beacon – Spiritually open and intentionally inclusive since 1958.

Diwali is the sacred Festival of Lights for Hindus, Sikhs, and Jains around the world. It is the triumph of the light over darkness. To celebrate this international festival, we will be having Johnny Marcus teach us about the sitar, an Indian musical instrument made famous by Ravi Shankar and George Harrison. He will be accompanied by Rob Wallace. They will perform music for the sitar, surbahar, and tablas. Andy Hogg and Char Tarashanti are the Worship Associates for the service. The sitar is a musical and spiritual experience.
